Of course, there are many different types of döner, and each one should be judged within its own category. That said, this place makes my personal favourite döner in Istanbul. Karadeniz-style döner is my favourite type, and in my opinion, they do it best here. The place is usually very crowded, and finding a spot to sit can be tricky. Most days, the shop closes around 5–6 pm, as their döner often runs out early.
It is very centrally located, so if you are visiting Dolmabahçe Palace, Beşiktaş, Ortaköy, or even Taksim, it is very easy to stop by and treat yourself to this delicacy in Beşiktaş. One small but important note: if Beşiktaş’s football team is playing on the same day, the neighbourhood gets significantly more crowded and the queue can be much longer.
